Elfyn Llwyd found a hole lower in his toilet ceiling and parts of paper taken from his flat – but valuables were still left untouched.

Barrister Mr Llywd, who was a Plaid Cymru MP, explained the leaks showed the Welsh Office had ‘prevented staff from sending in European funding applications’.
In his memoirs he writes of the split-in: ‘I arrived at my flat all-around 10.30pm and went to the bathroom for a moment.
‘I saw that there was dust all over the place. I looked up and observed that about a 3rd of the ceiling experienced been minimize extremely neatly and that anyone had appear into my flat that way.
‘I ran as a result of the flat and found that just about every piece of paper had disappeared and the pockets of each individual accommodate experienced been turned inside of out.

Mr Llwyd said he named the law enforcement and two officers came to his flat and requested him what his task was.
