Linda Evangelista has publicly sided with the four types who have accused her ex-spouse, former Elite Modelling company head Gerald Marie, of sexual misconduct and rape.
Praising the “courage and strength” of the girls, the supermodel, who was married to Marie in between 1987 and 1993, explained to the Guardian that “based on her possess experiences” with Marie, she considered the women of all ages.
“During my partnership with Gérald Marie, I realized nothing at all of these sexual allegations towards him, so I was unable to assistance these females,” Evangelista instructed the paper.
“Hearing them now, and based on my have encounters, I believe that they are telling the real truth. It breaks my heart because these are wounds that may well never ever heal, and I admire their bravery and power for speaking up currently.”
France has opened a rape investigation into Marie, for the abuse of up to 9 products.
Former product and Mickey Rourke’s ex-spouse Carré Otis has claimed Marie continuously raped her when she was just 17 and dwelling in the spare place of his condominium in 1986.
Evangelista was dating Marie at the time and was not there when the alleged abuse occurred. There is no suggestion from Otis or any of the products that Evangelista was informed of the allegations at the time.
Other designs who have filed prison issues in France are Jill Dodd and Ebba Karlsson, and former undercover journalist Lisa Brinkworth, in accordance to the Guardian.
Marie’s legal professionals instructed the Guardian, the former product boss denies the accusations and was “extremely affected” by them incorporating: “He intends to actively participate in the manifestation of the real truth inside of the scope of the opened legal investigation.”
