Fisherman is mauled by a shark that sunk its teeth into his arm after he reeled it in off Fraser Island

A fisherman has been attacked by a shark off Fraser Island in Queensland.

The man in his 50s caught the whitetip shark and was trying to unhook it from his fishing line when it little bit his arm. 

Other people fishing had to aid free of charge the man’s arm from the shark’s mouth.

The person was introduced to shore and was airlifted to the Royal Brusbane and Women’s Hospital.

He has suffered really serious injuries but is in a secure situation. 

It comes a 7 days immediately after a surfer was mauled to dying by a shark in Gold Coastline waters.

Nick Slater, 46, was attacked at about 5pm on September 9 off well known Greenmount Seashore, on the Gold Coast tourist strip, in a uncommon assault the place swimmers are protected by shark netting.

His loss of life is only the second fatal shark assault at 1 of Queensland’s 85 shorelines that have been secured by nets and drum strains because 1962, the condition federal government claimed.
