Fb on Wednesday announced a partnership with Luxottica, the maker of Ray-Ban, to release its initial pair of intelligent eyeglasses in 2021.
“Just after paying out time with their workforce and traveling to their manufacturing unit, I understood that they were being the appropriate partner for us to enable provide the ideal technology collectively with the most effective eyeglasses,” Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg mentioned in a are living stream from Fb Link, the company’s virtual event for its digital and augmented reality products and solutions.
Fb and Luxottica will make the eyeglasses as portion of a multiyear partnership. The pairing of the two companies was initially claimed by CNBC previous year.
“I can’t go into full merchandise information yet, but they’re seriously the following action on the street to augmented truth glasses,” Zuckerberg said. “And they look really excellent too.”
